I've drawn myself only infrequently – though it's an exercise well worth the time.

In this instance, the results were pretty satisfying. I've rarely been so attentive to qualities of light as I was with this sketch.

A favorite.
Quite a different caricature, compared with the one above – but done only a day or two apart from the other (as I recall) in the same book, a couple of pages away. Graphite stick.
Whistling.

Drawn in Photoshop with a tablet, flipped to represent the actual rather than the mirror image.

The orginal was a good deal larger. Don't have it anymore, though – I managed to save over it. (Consider, for a moment, that one can destroy or lose a sketchbook, usually with a little effort; but that one can't cause any part of it to disappear forever with a single absent-minded click.)
